In the case of Fabry Disease there are multiple organs that are involved. The storage of Globotriaosyl-ceramide builds up and that leads to problems in blood vessels, which results in damage to kidneys, heart, brain, intestines, eyes, peripheral nerves and other organs. Fabry Disease is a truly multi-systemic disorder.
